What The Hell?

Can this be possible?

Does this mean that I'll be swimming home? I suppose I don't know what these percentages mean at all...

Toys 2

It's a big week for toys for me, it seems. I got home tonight to find that my package arrived from a Mr. Rish Outfield. I decided to enlist his help in filling out my Avengers shelf. I've been needing a few more characters for me to feel like the shelf is complete...either that or I had to pare it back to just the main ones...but I didn't want to do that.

So, I ordered a Black Widow, an Ant-man, and a Black Panther from Rish so that I could add them to my group of Avengers.

Now I think I can say for sure that I am done. I'm not adding anymore.

It's probably too jumbled as it is, so I've gotta quit.

Toys

Got some new additions to my toy shelf. The Starscream in the first picture is new.

Then I also found this Playskool Luke Skywalker and the Rancor monster on sale.

Not only that, but I had to put back a couple of other things that I was going to buy because I found these ones.

I’m gonna need a bigger shelf.

Summer In Houston

This was the thermometer in my car on the way to work. The AC was having a pretty hard time keeping up.

It's bad, but I don't think this is real. Can your thermometer give you "feels like" temperatures?

Recycling

They had this on the counter at work. I couldn’t help but chuckle. How come there’s no free cassette tape cases though? That’s what I really need. You know, for all those tapes that I copied on my dual cassette boombox in high-speed dubbing mode.

Heavy Tease

Trying to get the next Anklecast “Some Heavy Talk, Part 2” put together. I made this picture. It’s not a before and after, because I am far from finished. More like a before and during. But I figured I’d share it here as a sort of teaser for the podcast. What do you think, is there much of a difference?

Prime Day!

It’s that time of year again. The day when we thank Optimus Prime for all the great sacrifices and contributions he has made for us earthlings. That’s right, it’s Prime Day! Apparently Amazon is having a special sale in honor of the day as well, so the day is really getting more widespread acceptance.

Tell Me Why The Road Turns

Since we got back from San Francisco the family can’t stop eating sourdough.

I guess everybody misses Boudin.

Deja Vu

Saw Ant-man and the Wasp yesterday. It was pretty weird to do so just days after returning from a trip to San Francisco. Pretty much everything we saw there made an appearance in the movie. From Lombard Street to Fisherman's Wharf and even friggin' Muir Woods. Pretty weird.

Tunnel Tree

I gotta share this picture. This tree was holed out from top to bottom...I don't know how, maybe from fire or from lightning or something, I'm sure if I had the tour guide it probably told me, but I never got that...but IT WAS STILL ALIVE!

I went inside it and took this picture where I could see all the way to the circular hole out of the top of the tree, but the second picture is the tree from the outside.

Yes, it's got branches with plenty of green needles. Crazy that a redwood could live that way. Apparently, the super thick bark protects them from burning in a fire, and when they don't burn too much, the healthy tree continues growing around the damaged parts. But this seems a little excessive don't you think?

Light Art

We played around with long exposures and glowsticks while out camping in California, and this is what we got. Whaddya think?

Little Library

I went back to the street that I grew up on in Sacramento, and saw my old house, then we walked around and took a stroll through the park that is against my back fence. The house on the corner of the street had one of those take a book/leave a book little libraries.

I thought it was really cool. Heard about them on the internet, but this was the first time I've ever seen one in person.

Muir Woods National Monument

I always take way too many pictures of places without people in them. I know from experience that nobody cares much about, say, a picture of the Grand Canyon from 1978, but they really like to see a picture of themselves in front of the Grand Canyon in 1978. I always grumble at my dad because he took so many pictures of places without any people in them, but now I'm in his place, and I do the friggin same thing. My defense is that I just take way more pictures. With digital pictures, they're all free, so I can take dozens of pictures without people in them, and then take dozens more with people in them. Then everyone's happy, right?

Anyway, here's a crap ton of pictures of Muir Woods National Monument. Hope you enjoy the scenery.
