I was just talking to a non-sports fan friend of mine at work about college football. It makes me laugh. He was looking at bowl games, and suddenly realized that almost all of them are nothing more than participation trophies. I wonder how many college football fans would admit that their team's bowl appearances are just millennial participation medals.
I hate meaningless bowl games, by the way, and I am a sports fan. It's one of the main reasons I like pro football way more than college.
