I Started watching Luke Cage over the weekend. Pretty good stuff. I'm about four episodes in I think, maybe five.
That show has a sweet daddy soundtrack. I really love how they work the music in, having artists performing or auditioning at Cottonmouth's club, then using that music over fights or other things. Really cool.
I was stoked to see Charles Bradley performing on an episode.
I was wondering if we'd see Sharon Jones on an episode, then I found out that she died over the weekend. I didn't realize she wasn't in better health.
I saw the trailer for her movie, and it led me to believe that she'd beaten cancer, but I guess not so much. Sad to hear. We'll miss her.
