Trailer Quiz
Rish Outfield and I get together with Marshal Latham and give him a quiz on the new trailer for The Force Awakens...which he hasn't seen. Listen to the episode of Delusions of Grandeur and see how he does.
Head over and subscribe to the podcast. You can also listen to the episode by pushing the play button below.

Sunrise
Went to take my daughter to school, and we had this spectacular sunrise going on. It was even prettier before I started taking pictures. The red and pink drained out of it surprisingly fast.

Find it on the feed, right-click HERE to download it, or just click the play button below to listen right now.
Rish And Fake Sean Bring Salutations
Rish Outfield pulled some strings and got the great Sean Connery to record something for me on my birthday. Wow.

Dunesteef Episode 175: Ship Of Fools by David Farland (Part 2)
Afterward, Rish and I talk about…oh, we talk about writing again. Pretty much every time, huh?
Special thanks to Renee Chambliss, Graeme Dunlop and Ben Gifford for lending their voices to the story.
Alright, if you want to check out this episode, go listen to it on the main Dunesteef podcast feed—(EDIT: Now that the feed is gone, the only way to hear the show is over on the Dunesteef Podcast YouTube page, which I am embedding below).

I Heard A Fly Buzz—When I Died
I was about to go to bed, when a fly buzzed my ear. Had to spend the next 20 minutes stalking and killing it before I dared try to sleep. Nothing is more anathema to sleep than a house fly.
A Different World
I'm sitting in a restaurant, there is football playing on several TVs, but nobody's watching them, and there are two adult men who don't look nerdy at all loudly debating the merits of TRANSFORMERS BEAST MACHINES vs TRANSFORMERS BEAST WARS.
"It's a different world, than the one you come from."

A Little Eery
NLCS is over, and no, the Cubs did not finally defeat their demons and get into a World Series. They haven't been in one since 1945, and haven't won one since 1908.
Interesting, because there was a movie in the 80s that almost called this.
It was one of the many jokes thrown into the future segment of Back to the Future II. The Cubs swept Miami (which didn't even have a baseball team at the time) in the world series.
Well, it's now the same year as that movie's future segment, and even the same day of that year of the movie's future segment. There was a sweep that involved the Cubs, only they were the ones swept out. Poor Cubbies. Back to the Future was at least close.
Into The Future
I remember watching Back to the Future in the theater back in 1985, and that quirky ending when Doc Brown grabbed him and made him go to the future with him. They disappeared into the ether and the credits rolled, but little did I know that I was in the time machine as well. At last, I've made it. My time machine seems to take much longer to complete its journey, but here I am on Oct. 21, 2015. I made it to the future. I only wish it hadn't taken such a toll on me.

Contradiction
What will Rish Outfield do? When you combine what he loves most with what he most despises...
The headline on Tuesday's paper is going to be about the man whose head spontaneously exploded as he was watching the MNF halftime show.Wednesday, October 14, 2015

TGMG 164: There Can Be Only One Highlander
Here's a blast from the past: it's a Dunesteef On The Move! Back in January 2014, I sat down and watched HIGHLANDER, then Rish and I took a drive to Las Vegas and talked about it. It's not a long episode; you can force yourself to make it through. Come on, you owe us that much.
You can find it on the feed now, or right-click HERE to download it. Okay, fine, last option, you can just click the play button below. Do it. Don't make me set it up so it auto-plays. You don't want that. Nobody wants that.
My Narration of "The Last Bombardment" on Pseudopod
I've got a cool, disturbing story that I got to narrate for the newest Pseudopod, "The Last Bombardment" by Kenneth Schneyer. It's really effed up. It's a shorty, part of one of their "Flash on the Borderlands" events. So, you get two other stories as well. Enjoy!
Here's the link.

When Did Ozzy Become An Actor?
Of course, she really only knows him as a reality TV star. Isn't that weird? How things can change with time.

Big Batman
My son has decided he wants a super hero themed room. So my wife is going gung ho to put it together for him. This is the most recent addition. I used to scoff at these giant action figures, I mean what do you do with them? Put them on shelf I guess.
Weird Requirements
I love Mountain Dew Code Red, but only if it comes from a bottle or can. The soda fountain ones taste terrible, however when it comes to Dr. Pepper, which I also love, it's terrible from bottles and cans (generally low on flavor and way high on carbonation) and is only good from a soda fountain.
Pibb Extra is the same way. Anyone else have weird requirements for soda drinking like me?

Star War
My three-year-old is being a "Star War" today by holding out his hand and making me be the force that brings whatever he's holding his hand up to through the air to him.
