Am I Crazy?

I'm considering quitting soda for good. I don't know if that's something I can manage or not, but I'm seriously thinking about it. At the very least, I'll be off of it for approximately the next three months. But when that comes to an end, I may never start back in.

Am I crazy for considering this?

I'm also thinking of doing the same with fast food. Does that make me crazy? Can I really even pull it off?

I tried to quit for a couple of days and found myself saying automatically diet when asked what I wanted to drink at restaurants. I've cut back a ton though. I virtually don't drink soda at home anymore and I hope to soon carry that over to the rest of the time. It's hard but I wish you all the luck and success. You can do it! You're Big Anklevich!

I've done this with soda, beer, margarine/butter, junk food, and other crappy stuff and it works out pretty well. You might not go totally without it after you're done, but IME you'll generally be able to resist cravings much easier. It's all about setting up good habits.

I broke a pretty strong soda habit by going cold turkey for a month. Which is not to say that I don't drink the stuff, I'm just down to one bottle/glass a week now (and have been for years).
