This morning, it was nice and quiet...well, for a while anyway. I can hear a weedeater wailing away out there right now, but earlier, I was able to get up and record about half of the next story on my list, "The Tenth Album." I hustled to get as much of it edited as possible, and then I transferred the files to Audible and here is where my progress stands now:
That's about twenty-five more minutes of finished audio. Although, it may not actually be finished after all. I didn't like the voice I did for the character of Justin. It wasn't different enough from the narrator. While performing it, I tried to imitate the voice of my friend that I grew up with, since the character is based on him. I thought I'd done a good job of it, but when I listened to it as I edited, the voice of the narrator and the voice of Justin sounded identical to me, as if I wasn't trying to change them up at all.
Next time I record...which will probably be Monday, I'll probably go through and redo all of Justin's lines with a voice that is more distinctive. Then I'll have to edit all of his those lines into the tracks that I uploaded today and reupload them on Monday. That sucks, but I want it to be good for the zero people who are going to buy this and listen to it. I guess that's the joys of being a stupid perfectionist.

I do this sort of shite all the time. But it's never good enough. Never quite. Not here.
Okay, break's over.
