I wrote a post about how Little was getting excited about my Ankletown Station idea, and contributing any and all Star Wars figures he had to the collection. I speculated that the imperial probe droid would be coming my way when it got located and vowed to do an update post. Well, the time has arrived.
Its clear stand doesn't blend in very well on my black shelves. I guess that's one of those things that you have to Photoshop out any time you take a picture with it in there.
Ever think about how weird Star Wars droids are sometimes? Like, first of all you have See-Threepio, who is so immobile that it would take him a lifetime to actually walk anywhere. Artoo Detoo is similar, just a little trashcan on wheels, or on two legs wobbling along.
Then the next movie you get this thing which can fly around anywhere it goes without even having an engine to keep it aloft. It just has some kind of anti-gravity or something.
Then there's the prequels with crazy droids like the battle droids, super battle droids, and droidekas. Or worse, in The Revenge Of The Sith, there's the Buzz Droids attacking spaceships. Or the new Batteries Not Included Lola droid in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
How do you go from all of that, to See-Threepio? The technology doesn't seem to progress the way it should.
