Just a guess but were the days the Kia wouldn't start hot days and you had the windows rolled up for a long time? Did the time you waited to start it later include leaving the windows down?
Too many years ago for me to say for sure, but I don't think so. Maybe? I probably did leave the windows open because I was sitting inside begging for the car to start and crying. Why, is that a known bug?
A fun story to go with that...if you look on the blog here I think you'll find an old post (or maybe it was a TGMG episode) in which I talked about the time that there was a wildfire so close to my house that they evacuated our neighborhood. I had the Kia at that time, and we went back to our house for a moment to grab some things, then went out to drive away...and the car wouldn't start. We had to sit and wait for it to decide that it wanted to work again before we could drive away and escape the approaching wildfire.
