A Big Number

I got to the point in my story where some real stuff is going down. We're heading into the finale of the story, the action has arrived, and I was enjoying myself while writing. So:

I hit 1,000 words for the first time today. 1,059 to be exact. That puts my monthly total at 6,229 and, according to my meter, that is 41.53% of my goal of 15,000 for November.

6229 / 15000 (41.53%)

Interesting that it was just yesterday that I was talking about how I would need to up my count to make it to 304,475 on the year, and then, by pure coincidence, I did just that the next day.

My yearly count now sits at:

8,601 puts me almost to 3%. I fell just shy, at 2.82%.

8601 / 304475 (2.82%)

I suspect that I'll arrive there tomorrow though. Cruising along, folks. Cruising along.
