Twenty days in, and we're still going. I did 879 words today.
That puts me at 11,640 for the month. I'm getting really close to my overall month goal.
77% of that 15,000. Of course, 15,000 isn't an impressive goal. I'll look back in a few months and scoff at how little I wrote in these early months. But after writing absolutely zero in September and only 2,372 in October, it's an Everest-like summit in comparison. My year-to-date chart says this:
14,012 in total. Even my year-to-date hasn't eclipsed my month goal yet, but it's even closer. My average keeps inching upward. I'm not at 727. I wonder what it would take per day to get it to 750. That would be cool to go from 500 to 750 in just a month. Then, next month I can go to 1,000. That year-to-date total puts me at 4.6% of the year's goal.
That's nothing to sneeze at either, considering my goal is 304,475. Of course, I'm actually going to totally crush that goal. All I have to do is stick with the plan. Hopefully, life doesn't have anything too heavy to throw at me this year. That's the only way I'll get off track. I'm doing this.
"My old shit ends here tonight."
